3M/AccuSpray Turbine Systemsaccuspray turbine systems

3M™AccuSpray Turbine powered spray systems have lead the industry for over 25 years. The spray gun is the heart of a turbine system and 3M™AccuSpray is well know to make the finest HVLP gun on the market. The Series 10 hand gun in now available in bottom feed and gravity fed design. Their turbine systems are available in 2 stage, 3 stage, 4 stage, Industrial 3 Stage and a noise reduced turbine box design know as the TNR. They use three different turbine motors and two different turbine blades. It is important that one understand the differences between these when looking to make a purchasing decision. Their standard motor and 5.75" turbine blade is used on the 220, 23i, and 240. The 23i & 240 provide 85 CFM of air. The 230 turbine uses a heavier grade motor and sports 7.25" turbine blades producing 115 cfm of air. Air volume is important when selecting a turbine system. The easiest way to explain how an HVLP gun atomizes will help you choose the right turbine and the correct atomization set on the gun. Think of spraying water from a garden hose with your thumb held over the end of the hose. The greater volume of water flowing through the hose and the tighter you hold your thumb closing the open space of the open end the greater the water sprays the water. Think of the air flow as water and the space between the middle hole in the air cap and the nozzle as the thumb. The difference between the standard AccuSpray Air Caps is the diameter of the center hole. As nozzle sizes increase the outer diameter changes. You wouldn't want to use a #4 Air Cap with a 084" nozzle.

Wagner NB (non bleeder)
For HVLP Only

The Wagner NB HVLP gun is a favorite with professionals who are looking for the best quality and tecnology at the very best price.
This is a non-bleeder gun, which means that it does not blast air when it is not being triggered, reducing noise and dust contamination of work area. (Bleeder guns have a constant discharge of air.) The non-bleeder is considered a "double action" gun, meaning that you can pull the trigger half-way for air only and the rest of the way for both air and paint or other medium. This is a very desirable feature in HVLP finishing where more control is needed.
